Ticketing fees compared

The true cost of ticketing: what event software really costs on each platform

Ticketing platforms charge in three ways: a percentage plus a fixed fee per ticket, a flat fee per ticket, or a flat subscription. Which costs least depends on your ticket volume and price. Below are the formulas in plain words, published 2026 fees for 21 vendor plans, and an honest read on where each model wins.

Published by Everlage. We sell one of the platforms compared below, so we've shown every number with its source and check date. Where a competitor costs less, we say so. Everlage is a white-label event ticketing and registration platform for venues, conferences and event teams. No Everlage per-ticket fees. Extra capacity in paid 100-ticket blocks; processor fees apply. Blocks are one-time: $89 per 100 on Starter and $69 on Professional. Prices in USD, excluding applicable taxes.

The three ways ticketing platforms charge, and how to calculate your fees

Start with two numbers: how many paid tickets you sell in a month, and your average ticket price.
Percentage plus fixed fee per ticket A percent of the ticket price plus a set dollar amount on every paid ticket. To calculate: multiply your ticket price by the percentage, add the fixed fee, then multiply by your number of tickets.
Flat fee per ticket The same dollar amount on every paid ticket, whatever the price. To calculate: multiply the per-ticket fee by your number of tickets.
Subscription plus percentage A monthly or annual fee with a percentage on top. To calculate: take the monthly fee, then add the percentage of your total ticket sales (tickets times price).
Subscription with included paid tickets Take the monthly fee. If you sell more tickets than the plan includes, divide the extra by 100, round up, and multiply by the price of a 100-ticket block. That block cost is one-time, not monthly: blocks don't renew and unused balances accumulate.
Fee caps If a vendor caps its per-ticket fee, use the cap whenever the calculated fee would be higher.
Payment processing Separate in every case. Stripe US, for reference, is typically 2.9% + 30¢ per transaction (https://stripe.com/us/pricing, checked 2026-10-16). Also check whether your fees are paid by you or passed to buyers.

Everlage 3,000 and 10,000 figures are a single month including one-time blocks used above included tickets; not a monthly cost. Prices in USD, excluding applicable taxes.

Honest notes: when each model wins

Low volume Per-ticket tools usually cost less at low volume. At 500 tickets, Ticket Tailor pay-as-you-go ($425) and TicketSpice ($495) come in under Everlage Starter ($699). For small or occasional events, a per-ticket tool is often the better buy.
3,000 and 10,000 tickets Ticket Tailor prepaid credits are the lowest platform cost in this table: $1,380 and $3,900, versus $2,379 and $7,209 for Everlage Professional in that single month, including one-time blocks.
Free events Several per-ticket platforms charge $0 for free tickets. Everlage's Community plan is $250/month.
Where Everlage makes its case Not on being cheapest. It's on a branded event website on your own domain, with ticketing, registration, check-in, badges and reporting in one plan, and sales through your own payment provider.
Seated events On Ticket Tailor, each seated paid ticket uses 2 credits, so seated costs run higher than the general-admission figures above. On Everlage, reserved seating is included on every plan, per the pricing page.
Branding add-ons Ticket Tailor offers white-label (logo removal) as a paid add-on "for a small monthly fee"; the price isn't shown on its official pages, so it isn't in the table. Eventcube offers custom domains via Pro features (per its pricing page); branding removal isn't specified.
Everlage No Everlage per-ticket fees. Extra capacity in paid 100-ticket blocks; processor fees apply. Paid 100-ticket blocks are one-time and don't expire, so a heavy month can cost less spread over a year. At 10,000 tickets a month, Enterprise (by agreement) may be a better fit. Prices in USD, excluding applicable taxes.
Trials 14-day trial with 25 trial tickets on Starter and Professional, no credit card required. Trial eligibility is checked during registration.

Worked example (illustrative)

Illustrative: 1,000 paid tickets in one month at $30 each, one ticket per order. Platform fees only; processing not included (including Eventbrite's 2.9% payment processing fee per order). Everlage blocks are one-time and counted only above included tickets. Uses the published fees in the table above.
Eventbrite 1,000 × (3.7% × $30 + $1.79) = $2,900
Humanitix 1,000 × (2.1% × $30 + $0.99) = $1,620
RegFox Standard 1,000 × ($0.99 + 1% × $30) = $1,290
Everlage Starter $699 + 5 one-time blocks × $89 ($445 one-time; 500 tickets above the 500 included) = $1,144 in this month
Eventcube Pro $125 + 3% × $30,000 = $1,025
Everlage Professional $999 (1,000 tickets included) = $999
TicketSpice 1,000 × $0.99 = $990
Ticket Tailor pay as you go 1,000 × $0.85 = $850
Ticket Tailor prepaid 1,000 credits × $0.52 = $520

Everlage prices in USD, excluding applicable taxes. In this example, three per-ticket options cost less than Everlage Professional. Your result will change with your volume, ticket price and which features you need.

What is the true cost of ticketing?

It's the platform fee plus payment processing, plus any add-ons such as branding removal. This page compares platform fees only. Processing (typically 2.9% + 30¢ on Stripe US) applies on every platform.

Which ticketing platform is cheapest?

It depends on volume. In our 2026 comparison at $50 tickets, Ticket Tailor pay-as-you-go was lowest at 500 tickets a month, and Ticket Tailor prepaid credits were lowest at 3,000 and 10,000.

Are per-ticket fees or subscriptions better?

Per-ticket fees usually cost less for small or occasional events. Subscriptions can cost less at steady, higher volume, and may include features that per-ticket tools sell as add-ons.

Does Everlage charge per-ticket fees?

No Everlage per-ticket fees. Extra capacity in paid 100-ticket blocks; processor fees apply. Prices in USD, excluding applicable taxes.

How current are these prices?

Every price was copied from the vendor's public pricing page on the date shown next to it (October 16–17, 2026). Vendors change prices, so confirm on their pages before you decide.

Who publishes this comparison?

Everlage publishes it. Everlage is one of the platforms compared, so each number is shown with its source.
